Tongue: red, dry, little coating      Pulse: rapid, forceful, full in proximal position    Other:

Indications: SEVERE Yin deficiency fire, Liver and Kidney yin deficiency, with heat generation: steaming bones, tidal fever, night sweating, spermatorrhea, painful knees; Deficient fire up flaming: Burn LU—cough with blood; disturb Heart: restlessness, irritability; Red tongue with little coating, Chi pulse is rapid and forceful [Song] • Severe KD/LV Yin/Essence deficiency with Empty Heat: Afternoon tidal fever, night sweats, spontaneous emission, irritability, sensation of heat and pain in the knees and legs sometimes accompanied by weakness, soreness and weakness of the lower back, T red, dry P rapid and full in the proximal position [Kim]

Commentary: Zhu Ji Sui (猪脊髓)= pork bone broth. A very strong formula aimed to extinguish fire and nourish Yin. [Song] • Focuses more on descending deficiency Fire, less on tonifying.[Kim]

They are Liù Wèi Dì Huáng Wán, Dū Qì Wán, Qǐ Jú Dì Huáng Wán, Zhī Bǎi Dì Huáng Wán, Zuǒ Guī Wán, Zuǒ Guī Yǐn, Dà Bǔ Yīn Wán, Yī Guàn Jiān, Èr Zhì Wán, and Bǎi Hé Gù Jīn Tāng. • Liu Wei Di Huang Wan is for Kidney and Liver Yin Deficiency, essence insufficiency, and yin deficiency heat. Particularly useful for Diabetes (Xia Xiao). • Du Qi Wan = Liu Wei Di Huang Wan + Wu Wei Zi.
