Indications: Constipation due to KD Yang deficiency [35] • Constipation from Kidney Yang Deficiency, profuse urination, constipation, pale tongue white coating, deep slow pulse, weakness and soreness in knees and lumbar region, dizziness [31]
Contraindications: Yin deficiency, excessive heat with body fluid deficiency

Herb List: Rou Cong Rong(K) • Dang Gui(M) • Huai Niu Xi(M) • Zhi Ke(A) • Ze Xie(A) • Sheng Ma(A)
Commentary: Rou Cong Rong has phytoestrogen, therefore, should be cautious with patients who have a history of breast or ovarian cancer. Sheng Ma used here is to raise the Qi before sending it down with Niu Xi to provide greater downward push strength.[31] • KD are suppose to transform the fluid and there’s not enough Yang to transform the fluids and all the fluids are going to the urine and none are going to the stools. Rou Cong Rong (moisten LI/tonify Yang), Dang Gui (moisten LI/tonify & move blood), Huai Niu Xi (move blood and things downward, tonify LV&KD Yin), Ze Xie(promote urination), Zhi Ke(downward), Sheng Ma (upward, to ascend the clear so turbid can descend). [42]济(plenty)川(river)煎(fry/dry). Dry up lot of fluid/urine from KD Yang Xu.[42]

ALERT: Contraindications of each herb - use with caution under these conditions:
Rou Cong Rong: Weak Spleen or Stomach causing diarrhea, Excess heat constipation, Yin deficiency heat
Dang Gui: Autoimmune disorder • Pregnancy • Blood thinner drugs (Wafarin) • Diarrhea • Yin deficiency with heat • Dampness abdominal distention
Huai Niu Xi: Pregnancy, Spleen deficiency diarrhea, Kidney Qi deficiency, profuse menstrual bleeding, spematorrhea
Ze Xie: Spermatorrhea, Vaginal secretion, Kidney yang deficiency, Kidney dysfunction, Damp cold
Sheng Ma: Yin deficiency • Liver yang rising • Complete eruption of measles • Wheezing and fullness in the chest when qi is rebelling upwards.
