Form circle between tip of thumb and tip of index finger • On the radial border of the index finger • In a depression just distal to the metacarpo-phalangeal joint • LI-2 and LI-3 are on each side of the Metacarpo-phalangeal joint (knuckle) • On the border where the skin changes color if you form a loose fist. • Shaving the bone.

Type: Perpendicular, Oblique    Depth:  0.2 to 0.3 cun, 0.3 to 0.5 cun
Description: Oblique proximal or distal insertion 0.2 to 0.3 cun • Perpendicular-oblique insertion .5 cun towards the palm
