| Description: Transverse-bouquet insertion laterally or medically, 0.5 to 1 cun, along the intercostal space • Transverse insertion superiority or inferiority along the channel |
| Caution: Deep or perpendicular insertion can puncture the lung • ST13-ST18: Avoid perpendicular. Do lateral oblique. Whether you go medial or lateral, it depends on the patient's curvature. If they have more tissue laterally, go lateral, etc. These are all in the intercostal spaces |
