Between the origins of the SCM and trapezius muscles • Midway between GB-12 and DU-16 • Level with DU-16
Needling
Type: Transverse    Depth:  0.5 to 0.8 cun
Description: 1 to 1.5 cun obliquely towards the tip of the nose. Do not needle upward.
Caution: Deeper needling can damage the spinal cord
Notes
Must remember that needling directed towards the tip of the nose or contralateral eyeball/yintang. Avoid the PONS/spinal cord. Great for Expel Wind. Exterior syndrome
