Location
Raise arm to shoulder level • Adduct and abduct the arm to feel the origin of the deltoid muscle • In the depression which lies anterior and inferior to the acromion, at the origin of the deltoid muscle.
Needling
Type: Perpendicular, Transverse, Oblique    Depth:  1 to 1.5 cun, 1.5 to 2 cun
Description: Abduct arm, perpendicular insertion, 1 to 1.5 cun, directed towards the center of the axilla • Transverse-oblique insertion, 1.5 to 2 cun, directed distally towards the elbow
