Type: Oblique    Depth:  0.5 to 1 cun
Description: Oblique insertion, 0.5 to 1 cun, directed inferiorly
Caution: i. deep insertion, especially in thin subjects, may damage the left lobe of the liver or the heart if either is enlarged, ii. oblique superior insertion towards the heart is contraindicated in all cases.
