Parts Used: Fruit. Good quality: Full, uniform and unfragmented, agglutinated, oily seeds, with a hard and heavy texture, and an intense aroma.[21]
Notes: Sha Ren calms fetus by harmonizing the Middle Jiao Qi. Other herbs that calm the fetus are: Zi Su Ye - regulates middle-jiao qi. Huang Qin - clears heat. Sang Ji Sheng - tonifies blood. Ai Ye - warms the uterus and stops bleeding. Bai Zhu - tonifies Spleen Qi. E Jiao - tonifies blood and stops bleeding. Du Zhong, Xu Duan, Tu Si Za - tonify the Kidney to calm fetus.
