Etiology

Chronic illness, aging, poor diet, weak constitution and stress can all lead to Qi deficiency and blood deficiency. The heart is responsible for blood circulation . When there isn't enough Heart Qi to push the blood, then it leads to palpitations, a weak pulse, pale face, pale tongue, SOB, chest pains, etc. These symptoms get worse with exertion since movement consumes Qi.
