Indications: Unproductive cough, sticky and maybe bloody sputum, dry mouth, dry throat, afternoon low grade fever, malar flush, night sweats, 5-sole heat, hoarse voice, insomnia, appears emaciated, mild thirst, itchy throat[Maciocia] • Dry cough without phlegm, or with little sticky phlegm, or blood stained phlegm, difficult to expectorate, a dry mouth, red cheeks, hoarse voice, tidal fever, night sweating, feverish sensation in five center area. A red tongue with little coating, a thready and rapid pulse [Qiao]
